My experience with Helen Olivia Floral Design was brilliant! I called and spoke to a staff member at 2:45pm with no plan beyond “do you have enough white flowers on hand to make a sympathy bouquet for pick up today?” and by 3:30pm was leaving the shop with a custom arrangement. He exceeded every expectation of customer service, going as far as listing all the available flowers and offering valuable suggestions as we collaborated to create a piece. The team is a joy to work with and I highly recommend them for all your floral needs.

I’m always impressed by the creativity and freshness of the flowers from this florist. The arrangement I ordered was elegant, vibrant, and beautifully presented. I recently had the pleasure of using Helen Olivia Flowers to host a floral arranging workshop at my parents’ home for my milestone birthday celebration. I really can't say enough great things about the experience! From start to finish, working with the team at Helen Olivia Flowers was seamless. Our instructor, Rachel (one of the owners) was warm, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. She patiently guided my guests and me through the arranging process and graciously answered our questions. The flowers were incredibly fresh and vibrant. Not only did the arrangements look stunning by the end of the workshop, but they also lasted over a week, which is a testament to the quality of the flowers provided. This was such a special and memorable way to celebrate. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again or recommend Helen Olivia Flowers to anyone looking for a fun and unique experience.

The most STUNNING flowers and arrangements you could imagine. Rachel and team brought our love of flowers and pollinator gardens to life for our wedding. All of our vendor partners couldn't stop talking about how this was the best floral arrangement they'd ever seen - and we agree! With 300+ 5-star reviews it’s safe to say this is DC’s premiere flower shop. I’m not a flower guy, but “happy wife, happy life right” am I right? Each time I get a new arrangement I’m blown away with the creation that Rachel and her team make. Helen Olivia’s flowers are the freshest flowers in the DMV (and honestly probably anywhere I’ve ever ordered from) and they actually last!!! Their customer service is as equally impressive! Expect to be treated like you’re VIP whether you’re shopping for an “I love you” arrangement or a large event! Pro tip for the guys reading this. Sign up now for their subscription service. You can set frequency, budget, specific dates/occasions or whatever else and make your special someone very happy without even having to think about it or remember! If you’re undecided on a florist for your wedding/big event/anything please stop your search, you’ve found the florist you’re looking for. Every single part of the process was fun! How often do you get to say that about wedding planning? I knew they were the florist for me when I walked in for my consultation to their meeting room and was met with shelves and shelves of vessels, vases, votives etc. It was so helpful for envisioning the final product and being able to “play” with different combinations! Throughout the entire process they were so knowledgeable and professional but most importantly they were kind. For the rest of my life I will be using Helen Olivia flowers for any occasion I can think of. Thank you to the entire team!

Working with Helen Olivia Floral Design—especially Hanna and Rachel—was one of the absolute highlights of our wedding planning experience. From our very first meeting, they made us feel so special. They were genuinely excited to be part of our day, incredibly warm, and impressively knowledgeable. I knew flowers would be an important part of our wedding, and they absolutely exceeded every expectation I had. I asked for something fun and whimsical—and they completely knocked it out of the park. The floral designs were beautiful, playful, and full of personality—exactly the vibe I envisioned. Their work truly transformed our ballroom space, filling it with life, color, and so much joy. One of the most meaningful things they did was help create a special bouquet to honor my sister. I gave them a few thoughts, and what they delivered was beyond anything I could’ve imagined: a brilliantly bold and beautiful bouquet that perfectly represented my sister’s vibrant, wild spirit. It meant the world to me. Hanna and Rachel were also incredibly organized and supportive throughout the process. They attended the venue walkthrough, were easy to reach any time we needed to make changes, and brought such a calm, confident presence to everything they did. I’m so grateful I got to meet and work with these two amazing women. Their talent, heart, and dedication were clear in every petal. I couldn’t recommend Helen Olivia more!

I have been using Helen Olivia Flowers for many many years and, honestly, I have never been disappointed. They create magnificent arrangements with less commonly used flowers and greenery.
